My Memories at RIE:

I would love to share my sweetest memories in RIE.
Interaction with different people in four years is an unforgettable memory.
Moments that I spent with different people during the "Hostel day" was a great experience.
Evening walks and cricket matches are still fresh in my mind.
The list can go to infinity but, last but not the least...
Whatever I am, wherever I am , it's all because of the learning that I had in RIE Mysore.

Good Memories at RIEM:

I was one of those blessed candidates who had the rarest opportunity of studying in RIEM. Many memories that stay with me are:

  1. The very first day I went with my Uncle to write the Entrance Exam.
  2. The day when I came with my parents to join the Institute.
  3. The way my parents took pain in cleaning up the room that was alloted to me.
  4. My Mom's tears that rolled down her cheeks while they were returning back to home leaving me at RIEM.
  5. The very memorable experience of getting ragged by seniors.
  6. The captivating atmosphere in RIEM which exhibits contrasts in various seasons.
  7. The very process of making friends in RIEM.
  8. Needless to say, some infatuations that crossed my mind during my stay in RIEM.
  9. Very good learning atmosphere that exists in RIEM.
  10. The sports we used to play during weekends.
  11. Various cultural fairs that happened during my stay.
  12. Very hospitable behavior of most of the faculty members.
  13. Way we breached some of the rules without getting caught!
  14. Captained one of the Houses in the Intra-mural Competitions.
  15. And so on.....

hi friends

'TRANSFORMATION' is the synonym I shall use to call my life at RIE for four years. someone who crept into the campus from a remote hamlet from north karnataka at the end of the eighth semester could appreciate poetry of Eliot, discuss about Kafka and Camus, could hold his first exhibition of paintings and write poetry for the masses. Overall the total thought process and lifestyle changed. All this is credited to me by RIE and I shall be indebted to my beautiful campus and friends, scholarly teachers, weekly literary criticism paper presentations and of course the incredible inspiration one drew from evening walks!

Every moment spent at RIE is a lasting experience and the most enchanting one.

with love

hi to all of u..

too many things run in mind while thinking about our college. one of the things that immediately runs into my mind is the sunday morning rice bath in the hostel with a mug of coffee sitting in the sun and eating for an hour long.

My Sweet Memories at RIEM,

Whenever I think of RIE, a pleasant feel surfaces in my mind, quite instantaneously. This feel is quite complex for many reasons. RIE is the place which taught me the basics of life – life skills, I might say. The fresh morning air, the mild and pleasant climate, the cool evenings, the ‘busy’ hostels, the exciting hostel chats, and many such magnificent moments spring up in my mind helping me relate the dictionary meaning of ‘nostalgia’. Any of the RIE alumni that I speak to have only been very ecstatic and nostalgic about the RIE days. Apart from my learning and shortcomings, this place is more than a simple ‘college’ to me; it is an edifice of wisdom. How else can I explain the profound fondness that I feel for our RIE? It gave me the eye to ‘see’ the world in a professional way. The Science club activities, the internship experiences, the house competitions, the (rare) classroom debates, the opportunities to demonstrate leadership qualities during cultural and other events, the rigid but useful senior-junior relationships, the cross-cultural interactions and the rich learning, the wisdom of the educationists, the rare, informative, but often neglected guest lectures, the ignorance of the beauty of RIE during my stay at RIE are great memories.

I feel a very unusual sensation - if it is not indigestion, I think it must be gratitude.
